• 12:00pm-6:00pm | Tournament Registration at Tesoro Resort in hallway behind the front desk
• 6:00pm-7:00pm | Captain’s Meeting at Tesoro Resort in meeting room behind front desk

 

DAY ONE - Thursday October 31st, 2024
• 5:30am VHF 28 Announcements
• 7:00am Flare gun Start
• 7:00am-4:00pm Tournament Fishing (Lines out at 4:00pm)
• 5:00pm-7:00pm Tournament Catch/Tag/Release documents and video filed, staff will be at the Pisces office balcony if submitting video via memory stick or in-person.

 

DAY TWO - Friday November 1st, 2024
• 5:30am VHF 28 Announcements
• 7:00am Flare gun Start
• 7:00am-4:00pm Tournament Fishing (Lines out at 4:00pm)
• 5:00pm-7:00pm Tournament Catch/Tag/Release documents and video filed, staff will be at the Pisces office balcony if submitting video via memory stick or in-person.

 

AWARDS BANQUET - Saturday November 2nd, 2024
• 4:00PM Awards – Location: Solomon's Landing

Dates – October 31st and November 1st, 2024 - Registration Wednesday October 30th

This event is built around the need to promote “No Kill” events that help the fishery and supply much needed research to help sustain the world-famous Cabo Billfish fishery and the sport of release fishing in general.  Over $2 Million in payouts with a 30-team maximum field, invitation-only.

2 Day Tag and Release Billfish Tournament
 

• 30 Teams Max - $20,000 Entry – Up to $70,000 in additional options
   

  • Top 3 General Entry overall points winners after 2 days – 1st 60% - 2nd 30% - 3rd 10%
    Projected payout based on a full 30 team field:

    • 1st place base entry: $306,000 USD

    • 2nd place $180,000

    • 3rd place $51,000
       

  • Daily Jackpots paid each day:

    • $5,000 – Based on 30 Boats = $127,500 Daily

    • $10,000 – Based on 30 Boats = $255,000 Daily

    • $20,000 – Based on 30 Boats = $510,000 Daily
       

  • Total Potential Prize Pool Based on 30 Boats All-In: $2,322,000 USD

 

• Catch – Video – Tag - Release of Blue/Black, Striped Marlin and Sailfish

• The teams with the most points after 2 days win the general entry pot.  Black and Blue Marlin 5 pts each. Striped Marlin and Sailfish 1 pt each.  No points for improperly tagged fish.

• 2 Days of fishing 7:00 AM launch to 4:00 PM lines out.  Fishing days Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November.

• 2 to 6 Anglers per team.  Up to 3 crew members and 1 captain.

• Jungle rules apply, but all fish MUST be brought to the stern and tagged properly while being revived and released on video. Please refer to full rules on the Rules tab of our website.

• Shotgun Launch both days at 7:00 AM.

• All Teams MUST turn in report cards, catch log and video footage by 7:00 PM each day for review.

• WON will team up with Gray’s Fish Tag research team for data collection and recovery.

• WON 15% of Entry and Options – Mexico Tax 15% of all payout money.

• Awards Dinner on Saturday November 2nd.

 

Each invited team may invite 2 additional teams, until 30 boats are committed.
